My original idea was to have a Beatrix Potter-themed nursery. She'll be at school by the time it's finished at the rate I'm going!

Unfinished business
A friend is a whiz at embroidery and crafty things. Reading her blog today, I was reminded again of my own unfinished projects, which, to my shame, have been on the boil for over two years now...
This first, and larger, cross stitch is almost complete. All I have to do is finish some fiddly backstitch around the border for the flower stems.
This one is supposed to have the same border and story fragment as the larger one. My intention was to convert it into a Birth sampler for Boo, rather than repeating the "sniffle sniffle snuffle" story fragment. It still needs the border and backstitch detail to finish, though the guts of the Tiggywinkle figure are complete.

last time I did something was when i was preggers with sparky - I finished a william morris tapestry cushion - of course, I haven't made it into a cushion yet........and there are others unfinished. But I'm just about to start a new one!! its for owl for Christmas, so hopefully that gives me a deadline. LOL, also, my mum just finished a cross stitch she started for sparky before he was born - but now of course Owl will get it - at least he isn't one yet!
I was wondering who the friend was, and then discovered, following the link that it was me! Never entered my head! Instead I was thinking of all the unfinished things I have in the cupboard... lots...
I won't tell you about the patchwork quilt I have been working on since I was 18... Oh, I just did.
Yes, but that's a huge project. I've often thought a patchwork quilt would be nice, but there's no way I'd ever get beyond the first three squares! (Besides which, I don't own a sewing machine, so that pretty much squashes that idea...)
Oh, it's all hand sewn. Hence the lack of progress. Not sure it will ever be finished. Don't really like it that much anymore!
