Christmas Ideas for Kids #2

A musical theme to this post. If you are tired of the constant sounds of the Wiggles or Playschool playing in the background as you drive, then you might be ready for some new music. The following are a few good CDs you might like to check out...

This one's for the preschoolers and early school-aged kids. J is for Jesus is a great CD, with lots of good, simple songs for the young. It's a follow-up album to this one:

Both include vocals from Karen Pang, who will be known to many Australian preschoolers as one of the presenters on ABC's Playschool. A Very Very Very Big God looks at simple concepts like God made the world, God made me, God loves me, Jesus died for me. It works wonders with our littlies Sunday School group.

If your child is older, and not quite as excited about actions to the "Hello Song", then this one might be more for you:
Get Ready! By Dr Rocktrin and the Groovemeisters is also a great album, with songs aimed at the upper primary level. Some of the songs are serious, some silly, some just fun. All of them give a great message about Jesus, the bible, and our need for salvation.
