There are good reasons why diaries are supposed to be private affairs. Looking over my previous posts, I've discovered a lot of garbage - self-pitying, arrogant, badly thought out. The instantaneous nature of the internet allows you to write down private thoughts and then blast them off into the internet, regardless of whether they are properly thought through or not.
Through a badly written and abrupt post, I have dreadfully offended a friend. For that I am truly sorry. I wrongly took offense at something that was supposed to be inoffensive, and have hurt someone in the process. I apologise wholeheartedly.

Are you talking about me? you didn't hurt me - honest. Don't quit for me...
I wrote a dreadful post (not the exasperated one) yesterday and had to be brought to my senses by my brother. It's too easy to dash out stuff and post it for all to see. I feel awful and extremely apologetic.
Love ya, Cecily xx
Kris - yeah, can I add my 'no worries' to Cecily's if you were talking about your post on here site. Neither of us were offended in any way! I was just making a point, sorry if I sounded offended or was harsh. I guess you are right, it can be easy to fire off things. we enjoy your blog, so don't stop! Warm Regards, AP
Thanks, guys, but it's a conviction I've been coming to for a little while now. John Newton spent 5 hours a day in prayer, reading and contemplation. While I'm not aspiring to those dizzy heights, I do need to get to a point where my time spent in prayer and meditating on God's word is at least more than the time I waste on Facebook and blogging!
I've just been feeling that my work with kids and young people is being affected by my lack of time with God. I'm looking to redress that balance somewhat. Thanks for your lovely comments, though. They've made my day! :)
