Dropped in to this place today, to browse amongst the stationery. I could have spent a great deal more time there - I love stationery, for some unknown reason. There were beautiful journals, ornate cards, and interesting pens (the $2800 fountain pen was a little too gaudy for me, even if I were foolish enough to spend a Mac's worth of money on a writing implement!)
It struck me how many stationery items I have bought and not used. There were beautiful note sets, but I have unused sets in my drawer. Lovely fountain pens, but I have an unused Waterman and ink pot gathering dust. Personalised wax seals, but my own seal hasn't seen the light of day since before I was married! It seems that it might be time for me to resurrect the art of the written letter, so I can use what I own rather than acquire more dust-gatherers - beautiful though they be...

lovely site! maybe you could write me a letter? and if you want to see another thing you don't need, try mummycards.com.au - business cards for mums with kids details etc to give out at the playground.
They have a shop in Leura which is lovely, and I'm thinking of buying one of the Vera Wang cards for a friend's wedding soon (though not the $15 ones!). I've seen the mummy cards, but didn't want to include the kids names and ages for privacy - there's no real control over where the cards end up once you've handed them on!
Ah, I walked past the shop in Leura this week, but it was Tuesday, not Monday! I wanted to go in, but had wriggly child in stroller who was want to squeal if I stopped to look at anything for any amount of time.... To think we almost bumped into each other, a day apart.
It's almost a compulsory stop for visiting when in Leura. That and Josophan's chocolate shop for a plate of choc-dipped strawberries. Heavenly...
We didn't have the chocolate dipped strawberries (I don't like strawberries) but the chocolate milkshake and the belgian chocolate and cranberry scones were yum!
