I have a new camera. It makes up for some of the failings of its owner, but I still have a lot to learn about photography. Occasionally things work, though - like this curious little critter at the Butterfly House in Coffs Harbour.

This one wasn't too bad, either. My next step is to muck around with the aperture settings to see what I can get.

Wowzers, those are great pics! I especially love the top one. Does the camera come with any tips about using the lens etc, or did you just fiddle? I am apparantly getting a new DSLR for my birthday, which can now not come quick enough!
My little guy really enjoys The Night Garden too, and at first glance I really saw similarities in its 'routine' with the Teletubbies. But now I would agree with you.
We went to the Children's Ministry Conference at SMBC last month. I kind of kept an eye out for you, but didn't see you. :)
Glad to see you had a nice holiday.
The camera has a few automatic options for Macro, portrait, landscape etc, but I really just fiddled with the settings. I'm still not very good with aperture/shutter speed settings, so it works better if I have a subject that doesn't move very much (as opposed to the kids!).
We didn't make it to the children's conference this year, unfortunately. I'm sorry we missed you! How was it?
