On reading my blog title below, I did a double-take. Had I committed a grammatical faux-pas?
Nosey? Nosy? And honestly... honest???
Ok, I admit that I was wrong with the honest. However, I checked the dictionary, and apparently it's ok to spell nosy either way.
I wish someone would tell my year 6 teacher...

I'm sure Mr Nosey is Mr Nosey.
Ah Yr 6 teachers - this would seem a common problem with them.
There are lots of words like that - when I was an editor, there was a manual for house style which told you which spelling variant you could use - I remember that judgment was without the e.
It's quite tricky these days. There are the English spellings, the US spellings, the anything-goes-in-the-chatroom spellings. I'm so used to seeing badly spelled words now that I seem to be assimilating them!
